How to Get Press & Media Coverage as an Influencer and Blogger? Jak Zdobyć Prasę i Media Jako Influencer i Blogerka?

ENGLISH VERSION
Happy New Years! Let's drop it like it's hot this year in marketing.

As some of you may know, I've been a blogger and influencer for years now, before the market was this saturated. Throughout the years, luckily I was able to gain press and media coverage organically and by being on an episode of a popular MTV reality show. I was featured from ELLE Poland (ELLE PL), MTV (from US to UK to all MTV sites), Entertainment Weekly, Bustle, etc. I was also able to get press and media coverage on my own.

With the market as saturated as it is today and almost everyone wanting to be a popular influencer on social media, you may be wondering "How on Earth can I get press and media coverage?" Well, remember it's not about your number of followers anymore or about the engagement we create through the help of pod groups. Anyone could buy followers, likes, and comments. It's 2019 and it's all about creating your brand and having the press credentials. That's how you are going to get your name and brand out there. PRESS PRESS PRESS! MEDIA MEDIA MEDIA!

Well, lucky you! I've worked in PR and Social Media for years for various brands from different markets from Handbags & Accessories to Bridal and I have spent weeks of conducting research on free tools to utilize to gain press and media coverage. AND I'm here to share my secrets with you, but shhhh don't tell anyone ;)

1. WRITE A PRESS RELEASE AND SEND IT OUT TO YOUR MEDIA LIST!
This one is more self explanatory and this is what everyone will tell you. A press release is the story that you are trying to sell to the press and media. It's typically no longer than a page and you send it out to journalists in an email. SO BLAH BLAH BLAH. I am not going to stress this one because we all want the juicy details.

2. TWITTER WILL BE AND IS YOUR BFF WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!
For real! You will need a Twitter account. If you don't have one, make sure to create one because you will be using hashtags to contact journalists and to see what stories and features journalists are looking for. The three hashtags that I have used to gain press on Twitter are the following: #JOURNOREQUEST #PRREQUEST #BLOGGERSWANTED
All you do is literally go into Twitter and paste each hashtag into the search box. I do this daily and I've ramped up some features. Topics range from fashion to politics.

For #JOURNOREQUEST journalists share tweets in what features, stories, interviews etc. they are looking to write about and they request people to contact them with their stories. All you have to do is Tweet back to them, DM them, or email them. It's easy as that.

For #PRREQUEST you can share your story and wait for the journalists to respond to you. I prefer to really focus on the first hashtag though.

For #BLOGGERSWANTED brands, journalists, PR agencies etc. request bloggers for sponsorships, giveaways, events, etc. It's cool, but again, I only focus on the first hashtag because it is the most useful.

3. SIGN UP FOR HARO (HELP A REPORTER OUT)!
You will love HARO as much I love HARO! HARO is actually the acronym for Help A Report Out and it is created by CISION. You will sign up as a source for HARO at this link to receive daily queries on what journalists are looking to write and the sources that they need. It also varies from fashion to health to business to travel. All you do is respond to the special emails created for each journalist and send them an email with a response to their questions or queries.

Of course there are other ways of still gaining press, but as I am conducting more and more research, I am learning more and more about each one. I will gladly share the successful tools that help me as soon I learn about them and test them out! I hope these will help you out in someway!

POLISH VERSION

Zostałam wyróżniona przez ELLE Polska (ELLE PL), MTV (z USA do Wielkiej Brytanii do wszystkich stron MTV), Entertainment Weekly, Bustle itp.

PRASA PRASA PRASA! MEDIA MEDIA MEDIA!

1. NAPISZ WYDANIE PRASOWE I WYŚLIJ DO SWOJEJ LISTĘ MEDIÓW!

Robię to codziennie i naprawdę pomogło mi to zbudować dane prasowe.
